Qui était Alexander H. Wyant ?

Alexander H Wyant, né le 11 janvier 1836 dans l'Ohio aux États-Unis et décédé le 29 novembre 1892 à New York aux États-Unis, était un peintre paysagiste américain. Ses premières peintures suivaient de près la tradition de la Hudson River School, tandis que ses peintures ultérieures, imprégnées de couleurs sourdes, de caractéristiques atmosphériques et d'interprétation poétique, sont représentatives du tonalisme.
