Qui était Homer Dodge Martin ?

Homer Dodge Martin , né le 28 octobre 1836 à New York aux États-Unis et mort le 12 février 1897 à Minnesota aux États-Unis, était un artiste américain, particulièrement connu pour ses peintures de paysages. Lors d'un voyage en Europe en 1876, il fut captivé par l'école de Barbizon et les impressionnistes, et par la suite son style de peinture devint progressivement plus sombre, plus maussade et plus lâche.
